While Ellen’s creativity had mostly been expressed through her work as a psychoanalyst, raising her son, working in her garden, and through cooking, she now paints with watercolor and enjoys how the medium is a dance between control and flow.
Janet has always enjoyed painting and did a lot of the Donna Dewberry acrylic painting style. She started watercoloring with a group in her retirement community and when it ended, she found inspiration and motivation to paint from monthly online art challenges.
Louise enjoyed her job as a garden magazine editor and writer, but was looking for a creative outlet that allowed her to have a break from her mostly computer-based work.
When Mary Louise started writing stories for her grandsons, she realized she needed pictures. With the encouragement of an artist friend she began exploring the world of painting and drawing.
Phyllis became an art teacher later in life. Teaching has allowed many types of media and techniques find their way into her art.
Jeanie feels drawn to paint everyday. Something is missing if she doesn’t. It allows her to stop being analytical and be present with herself, color, and paper.
As a young child, Chris enjoyed being creative. After serving 37 years as a firefighter and 25 years as a paramedic, Chris continues to be creative through not only painting but through other outlets as well.
