Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between purchasing the single class vs. membership option?

The single class gives you access to only the class and the lessons (shown in the class overview). The class is self-directed. You can ask questions in the comments below the lessons, but there is no other direct interaction between Susan (your instructor) or the rest of the larger Paint With Me community. You will have lifetime access to the class whether you have a membership or not.

The membership gives you access to the entire Paint With Me community. This includes all classes (including this one), live call invitations, live call replays, and bonus videos. You will also have access to the private member-only forum where you can post your work, receive feedback from Susan directly, and meet & mingle with other members as well! You maintain access to all classes and content while you are an active member.

How do I take the class after purchase?

The class will be accessed digitally in video form that you watch directly via our private website.

After purchase, you will be directed to create a login for the Paint With Me site (if you don’t already have one). Any class or membership you purchase will be available under this login.

When does the class start?
The class is an instant access class. You will be provided with access to all content immediately and can work through the content at your own pace.
How long do I have access to the class?
The single class comes with lifetime access. You will have unlimited access to this class for as long as you like (for the life of Paint With Me & this website).
The membership provides access to all content while you are an active member. Access is removed to all content without an active subscription.
Is this class suitable for beginners?

Yes, it’s a great way to dive in and begin learning about how to work with water. If you are just starting out and have not put any paint to paper yet, I would recommend visiting the Shop page and enrolling in Just Watercolor.

If you enroll in the membership, Just Watercolor and other foundational classes are included.

What supplies do I need for this class?

Below are the key supplies I use in the video lessons. You do not have to have these exact supplies, but this gives you an idea of what you may need:

Hi, I’m Susan!

I discovered watercolors during a particularly challenging time in my life. While recovering from a bad flare of my chronic kidney disease, I was looking for something to distract me from stress and anxiety.

I started with my old supplies and timidly painted something unimpressive. But I was hooked.

When I was painting I forgot all about the other things I was dealing with at the time. Painting brings me a sense of peace and calm. It’s why I believe in the power of having a creative outlet.

So if you’re exploring that outlet using watercolors, I’d love to be your guide. Let’s paint, shall we?
